Carrie Marchese has been anchoring weekends and reporting on weekdays at News Channel 7 since September 2007. Carrie comes to the North state after spending 18 months at KPHO, CBS 5 in Phoenix, Arizona as an assignment editor and writer/producer. She is a graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University and is a recipient of the William Randolph Hearst Award and the Society of Professional Journalists Award.

Carrie is a native Arizonan but has always thought of California as her second home. She's an outdoors girl, and loves hiking, skiing, swimming and camping. She also looks forward each fall, as she obsesses over her favorite college and pro football teams. Animals are her passion — especially her little 6 pound Shi Tzu Zorro — and she's worked on a volunteer basis with several animal rescue organizations. Carrie loves to cook, especially Italian food and looks forward to large family gatherings for Holidays.
