Cymphanie Sherman

Cymphanie Sherman comes to the North Coast from Sacramento, where she graduated from California State University of Sacramento with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and a minor in communications.

She began her journalism career her junior year of high school when she became the host and investigative journalist of Youth Network Television in Lompoc, California. The second she investigated her first story live she knew this was what she was meant to do.

She expanded her journalism experience in college interning in a top 20 news market for KCRA and News 10, the NBC and ABC affiliates in Sacramento. There she shadowed award-winning reporters who passed on their knowledge and gave her the skills needed to cover breaking news. She began covering her own news stories, editing packages, writing scripts and publishing them daily to her website.

In college, she used her knowledge and leadership skills acquired from her internships and co-founded the Society of Professional Journalists on her campus, where she served as vice president.

When Cymphanie isn’t reporting she can be found hiking with her darling Shiba Inu Foxy, exploring the redwoods, kayaking in the bay, swimming, shopping at the Bayshore Mall, inside experimenting with smoothie recipes, or binge watching Netflix. See her around? Don’t be afraid to say hi!
