1,300 customers lose power in Shasta County

ROUND MOUNTAIN, Calif. - More than 1,300 people in Shasta County were left without power Friday morning due to outages in Round Mountain and Whitmore.

According to the PG&E website the outages were reported at 7:41 a.m.

Power was restored to about  742 customers in Round Mountain just after 10 a.m. 

PG&E spokesperson Paul Moreno said the cause of the outage was undetermined.  They believe it was related to a problem with a line between Palo Cedro and Whitmore.  Crews are continuing to inspect the line.

Power is expected to be restored to all the customers by 11:45 a.m.
