The Tehama County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a Kentucky man whose body was found in a rural part of the county.

The body of 66 year old Larry Arthur King was found shortly after 6 a.m. Monday morning, in the driver’s seat of a 2008 Dodge Magnum wagon along Jelly’s Ferry Road near Saron Fruit Colony Road outside of Bend.

Deputies tell KRCR, King died from injuries to his upper torso. Officials wouldn’t elaborate on the cause of death, but autopsy results are expected sometime Tuesday.

Tehama County Sheriff Clay Parker says King was visiting family members in the county and was last seen at 10:30 p.m. Sunday evening. “Somebody knows something, somebody was there, and we’re looking for that person,” says Parker.

King’s death marks the second homicide in Tehama County in 2010. Anyone with any information linked to this crime is urged to call Detective Dave Hencratt at 529-7920.
