Man Sentenced To Prison For Beating Death
POSTED: 11:21 am PDT July 28, 2010UPDATED: 11:26 am PDT July 28, 2010OROVILLE, Calif. -- A Butte County man convicted of beating a man to death could spend the rest of his life in prison.
Leslie Bond Jr. of Oroville was sentenced Wednesday to 17-years-to-life for second degree murder and drug charges.
Bond hit Adam Siegler in the head, knocking him unconscious and eventually killing him. He was drinking heavily earlier in the day, but defense attorneys say he suffered from a brain malfunction that led the violence.
He was convicted of the charges in May.
