Butte County Offers Free Whooping Cough Vaccinations
POSTED: 10:44 am PDT August 31, 2010Butte County Public Health will be offering free pertussis vaccinations to adults and children 11 years and older during September. The vaccinations are provided in Chico and Oroville by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 538-2840 for Oroville or 891-2732 for Chico. Pertussis or Whooping cough is at epidemic levels in California and is highly contagious. The vaccination also protects against diphtheria and tetanus.
