Shasta Deputies Believe Suspects Linked To String of Burglaries
POSTED: 8:37 am PDT September 3, 2010UPDATED: 9:07 am PDT September 3, 2010PALO CEDRO, Calif. -- Shasta County Sheriff's deputies arrested two men Thursday for separate burglaries.Officers are investigating a connection between the two men and 12 to 15 burglaries reported in recent weeks.Kenneth Fields, 24, was arrested just after noon Thursday at the scene of a home burglary in progress on Oak Meadow Lane in Palo Cedro. Thomas Savasta, 25, was arrested in connection with another home burglary committed the same day.The arrests came just hours after police warned that home burglaries are on the rise in Redding.
