Police Warn Redding About Fraudulent Phone Survey
POSTED: 8:59 am PDT September 3, 2010UPDATED: 9:12 am PDT September 3, 2010REDDING, Calif. -- According to a police department press release, a caller claiming to be with the City of Redding was asking people to give out personal information about their living arrangements.
Police got reports early Friday morning from someone who said they were asked about whether or not they rent or own their home, if they are working and what credit cards they use.
According to police, the City of Redding is not conducting the phone survey.
Police warn people against giving away personal information to any unknown caller.
