More DUI Arrests In Northstate

DUI arrests continue to climb as law enforcement's Avoid Campaign's crackdown.

The Avoid The Six Campaign in Shasta County has arrested 69 people for driving under the influence. Redding Police officers have said, this number is encouraging because last year at this time they had made 89 arrests.

In Tehama County, the Avoid The Five Campaign has made 27 DUI arrests, which is down from 32 made in 2009.

Butte County's Avoid The Eight Campaign has made the most arrests with 121. The Avoid The Eight Campaign has made more arrests this year than they did last year with 108.

There will be extra officers on patrol Sunday night in Redding and Anderson. Avoid Campaigns will end at midnight on Labor Day.
