Fire Destroys Redding Home, Explosions Reported

REDDING, Calif. -- A Redding home was rendered a total loss after officials say a fire tore through it Sunday night.The home is located on Granada Drive near Woodcrest Drive. Officials believe the fire started in the fireplace. One person was inside the home and managed to get out unhurt before the home was engulfed, according to fire crews. It was the only home affected.KRCR was told there were reports of several explosions inside the home, but those reports have yet to be confirmed. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
