Woman Armed With Knife Tased In Orland

POSTED: 11:44 am PDT September 6, 2010ORLAND, Calif. -- Police in Orland had to use a taser on a woman who they say was chasing after two people with a knife.
The officers were called to Plumas and Walnut Streets late Saturday night, after receiving a report that a woman was chasing two men with a knife and attempting to stab them. Officers confronted the woman, identified as 36-year-old Sarah Butler of Glenn County, who they say was screaming obsenities and challenged the offers to shoot her. According to the officers, Butler started pursuing them, so one of the officers used his taser so Butler could be safely taken into custody.
Butler was treated at the scene and transported to Glenn Medical Center to be checked out before she was booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
