Work Begins on Chico Disc Golf Course

CHICO, Calif. -- If you’ve been to the disc golf course in Upper Bidwell Park recently you’ve seen that things look a little different.Gone are the targets and tee areas from the old course as work began this weekend on a new course designed to have less impact on the environment.The new course will feature a layout designed to reduce erosion as well as fencing to protect sensitive habitats.Access to Upper Park trails will still be available from the course during construction.Work is expected to be completed by the end of the year.The project is being funded with Prop 40 funds matched by the Chico Outsiders.
