UPDATED: Power Restored Across Northstate
POSTED: 5:51 pm PDT September 8, 2010UPDATED: 8:48 am PDT September 9, 2010REDDING, Calif. -- As of Thursday morning, power was back on for customers throughout the northstate, according to information from Pacific Gas and Electric and Redding Electric Utility.
The final homes without power were in Redding. They had power restored at 2:44 a.m. Thursday morning.
Earlier Wednesday evening more than 4,000 people were without power from Redding to Lake California.
Officials with the Anderson Fire Protection District say an afternoon thunderstorm knocked out power to several areas including the Ravenwood Subdivision as well as homes in the area of Sandstone Dr., Driftstone Dr. and Cobblestone Loop, Barney St., Locust St., Austin Hoy Rd., Panorama Point Rd. and Bruce Street.
There were also power outages in Lake California in Tehama County, according to officials with Pacific Gas & Electric. People living along Riverview Dr. and the area surrounding the Airport were affected by the outage.
