3 arrests made after body found in shallow grave

PARADISE, Calif. - Police have arrested three people in connection to a homicide in Butte County. The body of the victim, 54-year-old Brian Clouser, was found last week buried in a shallow grave.

On Thursday, police arrested 40-year-old Charles Blalock for murder. Two other suspects were arrested for being accessories to murder. Police identified those suspects at Nicole Hauser, 28, and Victor Marino, 22.

The case started June 20 when Clouser's family contacted Paradise Police to report him as a missing person. Officers determined Clouser had not been seen since the end of May. During the investigation information was obtained which indicated Clouser may have been the victim of a homicide.

Paradise Police obtained a search warrant for Clouser's home and found evidence of a homicide.  The investigation led officers to a remote area in Butte County where the body was buried.

With the assistance of the Butte County Sheriff's Office and members of the Butte County Search and Rescue Team, the body was located in a shallow grave on July 23. On July 30, the body was positively identified as Brian Clouser.

The investigation is continuing and additional arrests are anticipated.   If anyone has information about this incident contact Paradise Police Department at (530) 872-6241.  To remain anonymous call the Paradise PD TIP Line at (530) 895-7611.
