Propane Tanker Overturned On Hwy 299 4 Miles East Of Weaverville
POSTED: 12:26 pm PST January 19, 2012UPDATED: 1:35 pm PST January 19, 2012A propane tanker overturned on Highway 299 at 11:20 a.m. Thursday morning, about four miles outside of Weaverville. Our crews on the scene tell us that no other vehicles were involved and nobody was hurt.According to CHP's website, the tanker is not leaking propane gas.The Public Information Office for Caltrans says eastbound and westbound lanes will be open with up to one-hour intermittent closures while crews attempt to remove the tanker from the shoulder.California Highway Patrol is responding.
