Gray Wolf 'OR7' Confirmed In Shasta County
A gray wolf has been confirmed in Shasta County. Depends on who you talk to, but there hasn't been a wolf in California in many years.
A trail camera got a picture of the wolf in Southern Oregon in mid November. It's officially called "OR7" but has been nicknamed "Journey."
It's generating a lot of excitement and not all of it good. In fact some people want the endangered critter shot on sight.
KRCR spoke with a state fish and game wildlife expert this afternoon. We'll hear from her tonight on KRCR News Channel 7 at 6:30 p.m.
We'd like to know what you think. Should the wolf be killed, tranquilized and taken elsewhere, or left to roam free?
