KRCR is currently running at full signal strength. Our engineers were able to reach the mountain top after being lent an industrial sized snow cat from DigitalPath of Chico.
Engineers said that the outage was caused by a power surge atop Mt. Bally that destroyed key equipment that links our station to the broadcast antenna.
Our signal is now available over-the-air, by satellite and cable providers in the area.
Viewers are advised to rescan their television's channels if they are still have difficulties receiving our signal over-the-air.
Due to the severe weather on Shasta Bally, KRCR News Channel 7's over-the-air signal had been weakened since last Thursday. Conditions atop Mt. Bally made any attempt at repairs difficult.
