Alleged killer of Tehama County teen returns to court

RED BLUFF, Calif. - The man accused of killing 14-year-old Marysa Nichols in Red Bluff was back in court Tuesday.

Quentin Bealer entered a not guilty plea in April. The defense filed a motion Tuesday to continue Bealer's preliminary hearing. It had been scheduled for next week.

Bealer's attorney said he just got Nichols' autopsy a week ago, but did not say what he learned from the report.

Bealer will be back in court Monday.

The 39-year-old was arrested and charged with murder when he turned himself in for questioning.

That was several days after Nichols' body was found behind Red Bluff High School.
