Bicyclist hit by pickup truck

REDDING, Calif. - A bicyclist suffered major injuries after being hit by a pickup in Redding.  The collision happened just before 6:30 p.m. Monday in the 6100 block of Oasis Road in Redding.

Jeremy Maughs, 37, was driving eastbound when he drifted over the fog line on the edge of the road and hit a bicyclist head-on.

The bicyclist, 29-year-old Aaron Roth, suffered major head and upper body injuries.

He was taken to UC Davis Medical Center and his condition is unknown.
