Bully Fire more than half contained

REDDING, Calif. - The Bully Fire is 51 percent contained as of Thursday night.

CAL FIRE says the blaze has burned 11,200 acres.

Investigators have confirmed that one man has been killed in the fire. He is believed to have died trying to escape the flames in the early hours of the blaze last Friday night. His body was found on the north side of Platina Road near Yolla Bolly Road. The man's identity has not been determined.

All mandatory evacuations have been lifted. Advisory evacuations are still in effect for the Sunny Hill Road area.

Bully Choop Road is closed to all traffic except for emergency vehicles.

Full containment is expected by next Thursday.
