CHICO, Calif. - Butte County Sheriff's deputies say a man held a Chico convenience store worker at gunpoint and got away with some cash.
It happened just after 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Investigators said a subject, believed to be a man, walked into the Tower Mart on W. East Avenue in Chico wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a white hockey mask.
The man allegedly pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. He then left the store with an undisclosed amount of money on foot.
Butte County Sheriff's deputies as well as Chico Police officers conducted a search of the area but did not find anyone.
The suspect is described as a white male adult, approximately 5'8 with a medium to stocky build. Anyone with information is asked to call the Butte County Sheriff's Office at 538-7321.
