Caltrans warns of delays on Highway 32 in Chico

CHICO, Calif. - Caltrans is advising motorists to allow additional travel time when driving on a stretch of Highway 32 in downtown Chico on Wednesday due to construction.

From 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., motorists can expect one-way traffic control and delays of no more than 10 to 15 minutes between West 1st Street and Stewart Avenue near Chico State University.

Crews are scheduled to do pavement grinding and paving work. Caltrans suggests motorists take alternate routes to avoid congestion.

Weather or unexpected events may delay or prolong work. Caltrans will issue updates on Twitter @D3PIO
