Crash sends mother, grandmother and child to the hospital

CHICO, Calif. - Three people were taken to the hospital Monday morning after a two car collision on the Skyway in South Chico.   A mother, grandmother and infant were taken away by ambulance with unknown injuries.

The collision happened at 9:26 a.m. at Skyway and Zanella Way just east of Highway 99 and Notre Dame Boulevard.

Police said a white Subaru Outback station wagon was crossing the Skyway, and apparently pulled into the path of a Toyota 4-Runner that was eastbound on the Skyway.  A mother, grandmother and infant child were in the Subaru and were injured.

Police said wet roads may have played a role in the crash.  One eastbound lane was blocked until the wreckage was cleared.
