Suspect Wanted for Allegedly Robbing Teen

REDDING, Calif. - An arrest has been made to the following story which we posted on Thursday night:

Dakota Anderson, 21, was arrested Friday. A Redding police officer saw Anderson and matched him to the suspect's description. Anderson was taken into custody. He admitted to committing the strong armed robbery.

Redding Police need your help in tracking a man who robbed a teen at knife-point Thursday at 12:18 P.M. Police tell KRCR News Channel 7 that an 18-year-old woman from Redding was walking on California Street north of Placer Street when she was approached by a man in black and white face paint. The suspect demanded she give him money. According to the victim, he threatened to assault the teen with a knife if she didn't give him money.

The suspect is described as:

  • White male adult
  • Short dark hair
  • 25 to 35 years old
  • 6 feet tall with a husky build
