REDDING, Calif. - Folks gathered on Hilltop Drive and East Cypress Friday night to pay their respects to the victims of an elementary school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.
Close to 12 people gathered in front of the "Redding" sign around 8:30 p.m. to light candles and hold signs.
One sign read, "4 the kids at Sandy Hook Elementary."
Vehicles were driving by, honking their horns in support.
David Connell of Redding told KRCR News Channel 7 that his family and close friends wanted to show support to the victims in Connecticut.
Connell says they'll be there all weekend.
