REDDING, Calif. - The Diestlehosrt Bridge has reopened after almost a year of closure.
The bridge was closed last September for repairs to the road surface, concrete retaining walls and streetlights.
The concrete on the nearly 100-year-old bridge was restored to prevent unsafe conditions and the streetlights were damaged from weathering and some vandalism.
The Diestlehosrt Bridge is open for pedestrian and bicycle traffic and is connected to the Sacramento River Trail.
The whole project, from beginning to end, cost just under $4 million.
