Early Morning Stabbing Lands One in the Hospital, Three Behind Bars for Unrelated Charges

CHICO, Calif. - An early morning stabbing in Chico landed one man in the hospital and three other men in jail after some kind of altercation outside of a home.

Chico Police said they responded to a stabbing at a home on Sunrise Court just before 3 a.m.

When officers arrived they found a 23 year old male victim laying in the driveway with multiple stab wounds.

Chico PD said several other male subjects were present and were identified as acquainted with, or friends of the victim. Investigating officers received conflicting suspect descriptions from witnesses at the scene.

According to reports the stabbing appeared to have taken place outside the home and the suspect motive is unknown.

The victim was transported to Enloe Medical Center for treatment and is expected to survive.

Officers said in addition to the stabbing investigation, three other adult males that were present at the scene were arrested for outstanding warrants unrelated to the stabbing.
