REDDING, Calif. - The sister of man shot and killed Saturday in Igo said she needs to speak with her father, accused of murdering him.
Jess Weber said the death of her brother, BJ Weber, has been extremely difficult on her family.
"I wanna know why," said Weber as she wiped tears from her eyes Tuesday afternoon.
According to Shasta County Sheriff's deputies father Bradley Weber shot his son, BJ, while they were out on property in Igo Saturday night.
Details surrounding the shooting are murky, but investigators believe Weber rode a four-wheeler to a neighbors house.
He was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound and died.
Father, Bradley, is now wanted for his murder and is considered, "armed and dangerous."
"I wasn't supposed to take my baby brother home in a box," said his sister, Jess Weber.
Weber, who just flew in from Iowa, said BJ's four children live in Iowa as well.
She described the father and son as inseparable, but said when alcohol was involved sometimes there were problems.
"They both get drinking and they both get fighting, it's just them. But this is just unbelievable. I can't believe it. I don't want to believe it."
Weber reflected on her brother's unique personality.
"He was one of a kind."
"He always made you laugh. No matter what."
In the wake of her family's heartache, her eyes filled with tears, Weber made a plea to her father.
"Do something, we need to know that you're alive, that you're OK."
