Law enforcement seeks information about shooting on Highway 299

MCARTHUR, Calif. - The Shasta County Sheriff's Office got numerous 911 calls on Saturday regarding an armed subject walking along Highway 299 East in McArthur shooting at random vehicles and pedestrians.

Deputies, CHP and CAL FIRE law enforcement officers arrived on the scene and detained the shooting suspect, Roman Jay Price, 21. Law enforcement also located the firearm and numerous shell casings in McArthur.

No one was injured in the shooting, but victims are being located and interviewed for additional charges on Price.

Currently, Price is being charged with brandishing a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm in a negligent manner and terrorist threats.
