A bear died after it was hit by a vehicle on Highway 299W.
It happened around 4:15pm Wednesday. California Highway Patrol reported that the bear was hit by a car in the westbound lane.
When Officers arrived, the bear was dead. The Department of Fish and Game were called to remove the bear.
No other injuries were reported.
