A Red Bluff neighborhood was closed by a bear Sunday afternoon.
Cimarron Drive was blocked off as Red Bluff Police, Tehama County deputies and The Department of Fish and Game worked out how to get a 250-pound bear down from a tree.
The black bear gave residents in the Country Village subdivision quite a scare when it was spotted at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
A KRCR News Channel 7 camera captured the scene as Fish and Game tranquilized the bear and lowered it to the ground.
They planned to tag the bear before releasing it back into the wild.
