Butte County Board of Supervisors took a step forward in approving a new ordinance regulating medical marijuana.
The ordinance would allow up to 99 plants on properties bigger than 40 acres.
Properties smaller than .4 acre would be allowed to have indoor grows in a detached building.
Another ordinance regulating medical marijuana grows was overturned by voters last year.
Supervisors made some revisions on the ordinance and they will hold another hearing February 26.
