Chico Police responded to an accident Friday morning where an elderly man in a motorized scooter was hit by a car.

Police tell us the victim was then dragged across the street.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. East 5th Avenue and Sheridan Avenue.
   
Police say the 83 year old man  in the scooter was taken to the hospital.  His condition was not immediately known.
