Chico Police Search for Suspect in Fight & Stabbing

CHICO, Calif. -

Chico Police are searching for a transient believed to be responsible for a stabbing Friday night.

The victim was stabbed several times and is being treated at Enloe Medical Center where police said he was listed in stable condition.  He underwent surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.

The incident happened Friday around 7:30 p.m. at an abandoned home at 2600 Cohasset Road.  That location is two blocks north of East Avenue.

Police said they received a call requesting an ambulance.  They found the victim with several stab wounds to his abdomen and upper torso.

A witness told police the victim had been involved in a fight with another man at 2600 Cohasset Road. 

The witness said the suspect is a transient known only as "Bradley."

He is described as a white man, 35 years old, with shoulder-length blonde hair, and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white shoes.

He is wanted for questioning.  Anyone who knows his whereabouts or witnessed the incident is asked to call Chico Police at (530) 897-4900.
