One woman is dead, and another in jail after overnight stabbing in Chico.
It happened at 12:49 a.m. at 1133 W. Sacramento Avenue.
Chico Police said officers and medics arrived and found a woman had been stabbed. She was taken to the hospital where she died.
Witnesses saw the suspect leaving the crime scene and detained her a short distance away. Officers arrested Shanda Mollison, 30. Mollison was booked into the Butte County Jail for murder.
