Cottonwood Mini-Mart Robbed; Suspect Knew Where the Money Was
Cindy Lu’s Mini-Mart in Cottonwood was robbed Tuesday morning around and the shop’s owner said the thief clearly knew where to look for the cash.
Owner Jim Shepherd said he was taking out the trash around 5:30 a.m. when the suspect came inside the store and stole three days’ worth of money.
The suspect walked into the store and seemed to go straight to where the money was located. Shepherd said there was no way that someone would have known where the money was unless that someone had been watching closely or was employed there.
Shepherd said there was a suspect who came into the store on Sunday evening and was acting suspicious.
Surveillance video has been given to Shasta County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating the case. If anyone has any information, he or she should contact the Shasta County Sheriff.
