MANTON, Calif. -

Deputies are searching for a man and his girlfriend after they were reported missing on Christmas Eve.

54-year-old Eric Eide of Manton and his girlfriend 52-year-old Camille Kober of Berkeley were last seen at North State Recycling on Thursday Dec. 20. The pair was turning in scrap metal and told employees he would return after collecting more scrap at a Pacific Gas & Electric property in Manton.

Two days later on December 22 PG&E employees found Eide's maroon 1992 Toyota pick-up truck in front of the property gate of the Volta Powerhouse Road. The following day, PG&E called the Shasta County Sheriff's Office and asked them to remove the truck.

Deputies then launched an investigation after Eide was not reached at his home. They later found out from a PG&E employee that the couple was spotted walking around the Volta Powerhouse property on Dec. 21 around 3:00 p.m.

The couple has not been seen or heard from since. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact the Shasta County Sheriff's Office.
