ANDERSON, Calif. -

A driver ran from the scene of an overnight accident on  Balls Ferry Road on the east side of Anderson.  A pickup truck skidded off the road just after midnight and slammed into a utility pole that was left in splinters.

The accident was reported around 12:30 just west of Lynda Lane.

The CHP said the driver ran away from the accident.  Investigators said the driver was traveling too fast for the wet conditions.     

Another accident on northbound Interstate 5 near the Oasis Road exit slowed traffic at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday.  According the the CHP, the accident involved a big rig and car.
