Flowers at Alturas Crime Scene

Flowers were left in front of a home on West 9th Street in Alturas where Marilyn Sims, 51, and her 14 year old son were shot Thursday  night.  Sims later died, her son was treated at the hospital.  Alturas Police said Sims' husband Jim Sims III, 53, later shot and killed himself in the parking lot of a church on West Carlos Street.
