A former assistant coach at Paradise High School is accused of molesting a 13-year-old girl.
William Prinz, 28, was arrested in Paradise on January 2 after an investigation by the Butte County Sheriff's Office.
On Tuesday, investigators issued a news release detailing the allegations against him.
The alleged incident happened in Magalia, and was reported in December.
Prinz resigned as assistant football coach at Paradise High School last year. William Prinz is the son of head football coach Rick Prinz.
Prinz was booked in the Butte County jail for three counts of lewd acts on a minor. Prinz's bail was set at $150,000. Due to the nature of the crime, the victim's name was not released.
As of Wednesday morning, Prinz was free on bail.
