Gas Prices on the Rise Yet Again, Affecting Transportation Companies
Gas prices are on the rise once again. Californians are paying an average of $4.16 for a gallon of regular gasoline – the second most expensive price for gas in the country, beaten only by Hawaii.
That’s an increase of just over 10 cents per gallon over the past week, and up 53 cents since the beginning of February.
The price hikes will hit everyone, and some Northstate businesses feel they may have to raise prices to stay afloat.
Transportation companies like I-5 Rentals will be the hardest hit. They transport their heavy machinery to and from their customers' locations and have raised prices in the past to compensate for rising fuel prices.
They don’t expect to change anything in the near future, but say they may have to if gas continues to rise.
