The Valero gas station on Cascade Boulevard was robbed early Sunday morning in the City of Shasta Lake.

The Shasta County Sheriff's Office say a man in his early to mid 20's walked into the station's convenience store just after 3:00 a.m. Sunday with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.

The clerk told deputies the man was wearing a bandana during the robbery.  The clerk gave the man an unknown amount of cash.  He then took off.

The suspect is being described as a white man standing six-feet tall and weighing 180 pounds.

Authorities are asking anyone with additional information to call them.
