Good News Rescue Mission Damaged by Fire

REDDING, Calif. -

An early morning fire breaks out at the Good News Rescue Mission in Redding, damaging several offices.

The fire broke out just before 4:00 Tuesday morning at the Rescue Mission's administration building on South Market Street.

Highway 273 was shut down while firefighters battle the blaze.

Mission officials tell the fire caused major smoke damage to the administration and jobs placement facilities.

The cause is still under investigation.
