A north Redding home may be a total loss after a fire tore through Friday evening.
The 2nd Alarm fire started at a home on Sierra Drive just before 8 p.m. Friday.
Redding Fire crews on the scene told us a woman and her granddaughter were at home when they smelled smoke.
The granddaughter called 911, and took her grandmother and the two dogs across the street.
When firefighters arrived, flames were coming out the front of the home.
Investigators believe it may have been caused by an electrical fire, but the official cause is still under investigation.
