Local Independence Day Events

There are plenty of places to celebrate the Nation's birthday in the northstate
In Redding the fireworks go off about 10 p.m. Wednesday night at the Redding Civic Auditorium.
In Anderson the Anderson Explodes event takes place at the Shasta District Fairgrounds.
In Butte County a fireworks show is set for 9 p.m. Wednesday night at Lake Oroville Dam.
In Chico there will be a fireworks show at the Silver Dollar Speedway right after the races.
In Tehama County a parade starts at nine Wednesday morning at the recreation hall in Rancho Tehama. It will be followed by a picnic.
