A truck carrying lumber overturned on the Interstate 5 on-ramp in Redding just after 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
No one was hurt in the accident, but a pile of wood blocked a portion of the on-ramp for hours. The southbound on-ramp coming from eastbound 299 was closed, but the southbound on-ramp coming from westbound 299 remained open.
California Highway Patrol officers and Caltrans said they were waiting on a flat-bed truck coming from Mount Shasta to remove the lumber.
They anticipated the on-ramp to reopen around 4:30 p.m.
