RED BLUFF, Calif. -

The man accused of murdering 14-year-old Marysa Nichols will be back in Tehama County Court Wednesday.

Quentin Bealer was in court twice, Tuesday.

The first appearance was for arraignment and a possible plea entry, but that didn't happen because Bealer's public defender resigned because of a conflict of interest with a case witness.

The Judge called a recess and ordered Bealer to return at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday to get a new public defender. When Bealer returned no one would take the case because all available attorneys had the same conflict of interest as the one who resigned.

Bealer is set to appear in court at 8:00 a.m.

He could be assigned a public defender from Sacramento.
