Man Gets Slashed in the Face at Red Bluff Park
A walk in the park turns into a dangerous fight for 52-year-old James Burnham from Red Bluff.
Burnham was walking his dog around 1 p.m. on Sunday at City Park. He saw an acquaintance that needed a ride. Burnham agreed.
Shorty after, a Hispanic male appeared and started arguing with Burnham’s acquaintance. Burnham tried to keep out of it until the Hispanic male hit his Burnham’s truck.
Burnham says he got angry and began to argue with the man. He said the next thing he knew, there was a machete in his face.
“He took a swung at me , I blocked it and hit a couple of times, he went down and got back up,” said Burnham. “I hit him again, he went back down, that’s when he came up and took a machete out of his pants.”
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early twenties. If anyone has information, Red Bluff Police urges you to call them.
