Man Hit By Train in Chico

A man was hit by a train in Chico Monday night.
It happened around 6:00pm. California Highway Patrol officers said 34-year Leon Ruiz was standing on the train tracks facing north on East Avenue and was struck by a train traveling southbound.
Ruiz was taken to the hospital with multiple leg fractures.
