A man was hit by two cars in Paradise Friday after he dropped his cell phone in the road.

Paradise Police said 18 year-old James Oppenheim was walking on Pearson Road and Glen Drive around 6:00 p.m. when he dropped his cell phone in the road.

Oppenheim told police as he reached down he realized he was in the way of oncoming traffic.

He was first hit by a Jaguar sedan that apparently tried to braked to miss him.

However Oppenheim was still struck and bounced off the hood of the car and back into traffic.

A driver behind the Jaguar swerved to avoid the collision but ended up rolling over Oppenheim's legs.

He was taken to Enloe Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
